Being you in the World comes at a cost. The inevitable tension between who you are and how the World treats you or wants you to be is HARD, even if you think you have been lucky. Sometimes, especially if you have been lucky.
Your early experiences impact your responses, feelings and thoughts later in life.
You have an unconscious that can impact your responses. Have you ever wondered why you said hat strange thing? Cried unexpectedly? Got angry, or anxious when you logically thought there was no need? Psychodynamic theory suggests this may be because of memories, beliefs or other links made in your unconscious.
